Cancellation Policy
Please note that we adhere to a 24 hour cancellation policy; if you are unable to call us within 24 hours of your appointment, we may have to charge you for your appointment as another patient will be unable to fill your appointment slot. Late Arrivals Appointments are booked in advance and while we will try our best to accommodate you if you are running late, we must honor our other clients. If you are going to be late, you will still receive a treatment, but only within your allotted time and at the original cost. |
What to Expect for Your First Acupuncture Treatment
Your first acupuncture visit will involve an initial intake during which your main issues and concerns are addressed. Other questions regarding your body, lifestyle, diet, etc., may also be asked in order to best treat you. Taking your pulse, looking at your tongue, or palpating your abdomen are all diagnostic procedures of acupuncture that we may use to extract further information about your condition. Once the intake is finished, you will lie on the table in your individual treatment room, and we will begin your first treatment. Feel free to ask any questions you have throughout your experience; it's important that you are comfortable and understand what is going on so that you can participate in your health care.
Please remember to wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing, and please be sure to turn off your cell phone so that we can focus our time on your healing.

What to Expect for Your First Massage Appointment
When you arrive you will fill out a Health History ( or you can print it out on this page and bring it with you.) The massage therapist will have a few questions such as: What kind of pressure would you like? Would you like a full body, just upper, or just lower body massage? and a few others. It is important that you are comfortable during the massage, you may choose to be fully undressed, fully dressed or anywhere in between, so as long as your comfortable. Before the massage begins the MT may use some bolsters ( towels or pads) to put under either you ankles, knees, or chest to avoid other parts of your body getting tense. Then your massage will begin!
