Vincent is a 2012 graduate of Cortiva Institute in Watertown MA. It is here where he received his foundation of knowledge in massage and bodywork. He now continues his study into the field of orthopedic and clinical massage under the tutelage of Whitney Lowe, founder and head instructor of OMERI (Orthopedic Massage Education and Research Institute) in Sisters, Oregon.
It was after suffering a painful back injury at a physically demanding job when he became interested in using natural therapies for dealing with musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. It was through this process that he experienced the profound benefits of bodywork firsthand. Vincent's work puts a large emphasis on structural anatomy, biomechanics, and scientifically grounded treatment techniques. He believes that assessment and deductive reasoning are of paramount importance in forming an effective treatment strategy. One might say that the work he offers is less focused on the particular style or technique being used, but the reason why it is being used. He also places a great deal of importance on teaching his clients appropriate self care techniques, which he feels empowers the client to be instrumental in their own well being.
Vincent offers a variety of services ranging from Classical Swedish and Deep Tissue massage to manipulative therapies such as Trigger Point Release and Muscle Energy Techniques (MET). Some techniques may be passive or gentle while are others may be vigorous or interactive, but always the overall goal is to improve function, decrease discomfort, and bring about a positive change. For more detailed information about his work contact him directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
